My husband and I have worked with Ryan for 5 and 10 years, respectively, for personal training. He also worked with our teenage boys during their high school sports days. First and foremost, Ryan has the in-depth knowledge of physiology, and the years of experience which helped him customize our training program for our individual needs. I was impressed how much he helped with preventative maintenance. Secondly, Ryan was very motivating and had our bodies and minds feeling great after a session. Having been runners and swimmers, Ryan’s been a great addition to our exercise program, keeping us active as we age.

Ryan is our favorite trainer… confident in his abilities, solid in his approach, and worked well with our physical therapists for joint issues. We have a very sound base for correct movement, both in the exercises themselves and in daily living. Understanding how the body moves and how best to stay healthy has been the hallmark of our time spent with Ryan. With that base Ryan pushed us to attain more personal records without compromising good form, and while still paying attention to what makes sense as we age. Thumbs up!

“Ryan is a remarkable trainer and even better person. I had previously injured my body through improper training and he undertook a long-term approach to first, get me healthy, and then, train me to achieve new heights of personal wellness and fitness that I didn’t believe were possible. He did all of this in an environment that was supportive, yet demanding, and focused, yet holistic. I cannot say enough about his skills as a trainer as he saw things going on with my body that were not even visible to me. His insights and long term plan have made healthier today than I have ever been.”

“I have worked with Ryan for over 10 years. I started to work with him when I decided I needed someone with professional skills to help me step up my current work out and give me a significant jump in my fitness.
He did just that.
Ryan prepared me for much stronger skiing and several tough hiking trips in the Dolomites and Swiss Alps. Ryan also got me ready to attempt to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunately the weather kept everyone off the mountain for the week I had reserved for the climb.
One must absolutely like their trainer. I thoroughly enjoyed Ryan’s humor, listening skills, personality in addition to his vast professional experience. I was completely bummed when Ryan told me he and his wife were
moving to Portland.
You would be very fortunate to have Ryan be your personal trainer.”

“Ryan was my trainer for over 15 years and there is no question that he kept me healthy and in better shape than I ever have been! He is an incredible teacher, creative with his workouts and knowledgeable about how to work around any injury I might have had at the time. Ryan is not only a great trainer, but he became a great friend. I envy anyone who has a chance to work with him.”

“Portland is very lucky to have Ryan! Ryan was my trainer for over 12 years until he and his family made the move to Oregon. It was a big loss for all his clients.
So, for those of you who might be lucky enough to get to work with Ryan, the first and most important thing you need to know is he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet - and also one of the most focused. He will work with you to develop a personalized training plan and he will keep you on track and on target even on those days when you’d rather talk than workout (been there, done that).

Ryan got me in shape for my wedding, in shape for climbing Mount Shasta & Mount Kilimanjaro and helped me over the years to stay strong and fit. He also helped me as I recovered from the various and miscellaneous potholes that life throws us all. And he did it with such a great attitude. I will always cherish the friendship we developed over our many years as trainer and trainee.”
